Bette Kane was the first to carry the Bat-Girl name, operating as the partner of the original Batwoman and driven in part by her admiration for Dick Grayson. When her cousin Kate Kane re-emerged as the new, formidable Batwoman, Bette found the inspiration she needed to reinvent herself entirely. She shed the Bat-Girl identity, forged her own purpose-built armour capable of flight, and took the name Hawkfire — combining her world-class martial arts skills with a fearsome pyrotechnic arsenal. A former Olympic-level athlete, Bette's training under Batwoman gave her deep expertise in explosives, investigation, and tracking.

On the tabletop, Hawkfire is one of the fastest and most mobile heroes in the Gotham City Chronicles roster. Her exceptional movement combined with the Flight trait allows her to reposition freely across the board, while her flame skill makes terrain actively dangerous for opponents caught in her path. She can be fielded as an additional hero in certain Wayne Manor expansion missions, and is fully playable in Versus mode.

Collectible Value

Released as a Kickstarter-exclusive expansion during Monolith's Batman: Gotham City Chronicles campaign, Hawkfire was never made available through standard retail channels. A relatively obscure but beloved corner of the Bat-family, Hawkfire is a targeted acquisition for DC completionists and Chronicles players building out their full hero roster.
