Description

Worms of the Earth is a major expansion for Monolith Board Games' acclaimed Conan board game, based on Robert E. Howard's celebrated novella of the same name — widely regarded as one of the finest and most atmospheric stories in the entire Conan canon, blending sword-and-sorcery action with genuine cosmic horror.

The story follows Bran Mak Morn, King of the Picts, who strikes a terrible bargain with the subterranean Worms of the Earth — ancient, degenerate creatures that lurk beneath the hills of Britain — to bring down a hated Roman governor. Howard described the creatures with unflinching revulsion: broad strangely flattened heads, pendulous writhing lips, curved pointed fangs, and hideously misshapen dwarfish bodies. For both Conan and Bran, the myths had prepared them for horror in human aspect — but this was the horror of nightmares and the night.

Ten fully sculpted miniatures, four Hero Sheets, seven Overlord Tiles, and a dedicated booklet bring this nightmarish corner of Howard's world to the tabletop in full. Requires the Conan 2015 core box and Stretch Goals box to play.
