No icon in the Batman universe is more instantly recognisable than the Batmobile, and this expansion brings it to the tabletop of Batman: Gotham City Chronicles in spectacular fashion. The centrepiece is a beautifully detailed, large-scale Batmobile miniature inspired by David Finch's sleek, six-wheeled comic book design — a turret-equipped armoured vehicle that feels ripped straight from the pages of Gotham's finest.

In gameplay terms, the Batmobile is not a standalone hero — it is controlled by one of the Hero players during specific scenarios, offering a new strategic dimension without replacing any existing hero slot. Before each mission, players customise the Batmobile using its dedicated board and a selection of upgrade modules, choosing between increased speed, enhanced armour, additional actions, improved weaponry, or other accessories. The expansion introduces three dedicated scenarios: one set on the Bank map from the Core Box, one on the Batcave map from the Wayne Manor expansion, and one on the Jokerland map from the Arkham Asylum expansion, ensuring the Batmobile slots naturally into the full Chronicles experience.

Released as a Kickstarter-exclusive expansion during Monolith's original Batman: Gotham City Chronicles campaign, the Batmobile expansion was never made available through standard retail channels.
