What is Consignment?

Consignment means that an item is being sold by Hammer of War on behalf of an individual, estate, or business partner. These products are not owned directly by us, but we handle the photography, marketing, packaging, sale, and customer service. Once sold, a portion of the proceeds is paid out to the original owner.

Consigned items often include:

  • Discontinued or out-of-print Black Library titles

  • Professionally painted or assembled miniatures

  • Vintage rulebooks and boxed sets

  • Rare RPG manuals, gaming accessories, and terrain

  • Kickstarter and limited-edition board games

How to Identify Consignment Listings

Each consignment product will be clearly marked with:

  • A "Consignment" tag in the product metadata

  • A note in the product description (e.g., "This item is sold on behalf of a private collector")

  • Specific details about item condition, packaging, and shipping location

All consignment items are sold as-is, with high-resolution photos and detailed descriptions provided to ensure full transparency.

Shipping & Handling

Hammer of War ensures that all items, including consignment goods, are packed securely and professionally. While most consignment items ship directly from our central location, certain listings may be fulfilled from remote partners or consignor locations.

Every effort is made to ensure safe delivery. Shipping includes tracking and, when appropriate, insurance for high-value items. In some cases, local pickup or in-person delivery may be available.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of consigned inventory and third-party ownership, all sales are considered final unless otherwise stated. We strive to provide accurate item descriptions, photographs, and condition reports.

Our standard split is 60/40, with the consignor receiving 60% of the net sale price. Custom rates and agreements are available for high-value collections, bulk liquidations, or legacy archives.
