Anatoly Knyazev — known to the intelligence world as the KGBeast and to Gotham's underworld simply as The Beast — is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous assassins ever trained by the KGB. A product of the Soviet Union's secretive Hammer program, Knyazev was cybernetically enhanced to be stronger than any four men, and trained in every martial art and deadly weapon known to exist. His mission to Gotham City — the assassination of ten key figures in the United States' Strategic Defense Initiative — left over a hundred dead and pushed Batman to his absolute limits. When his vendetta with the Dark Knight became personal, The Beast's singular obsession with revenge made him even more unpredictable and lethal.

On the tabletop, The Beast is a powerhouse villain built for raw aggression. His cybernetic enhancements grant him exceptional physical strength and resilience, while his assassin's training makes him effective at range and in close combat alike.
